In Januray James Gurney, illustrator and author of the "Dinotopia" series, lecturer and instructor, requested subscribers to his blog to send in photographs of their bookshelves of art books. On a lark I sent a few of mine in - one shelf contained two of his books Color and Light and Imaginative Realism alongside a number of other works dealing with color physics, pigments, color perception and painting color theory.

I was pleased to see that his 1 February 2013 post contained the photo above along with a brief bio of myself and a link to my website that produced over 500 page visits during the past three days.

The url for the blog entry is: http://gurneyjourney.blogspot.com/2013/02/your-art-bookshelves.html

It was interesting to see which books people had on their shelves sitting next to his own. It was also very interesting to see that he selected several books on each person's shelf and provided links to Amazon.com. I found that one of my older books, "Gruppe on Color", has been out of print, is still in demand and is now worth considerably more than I originally paid for it. Since I consult it frequently I think I'll take better care of it from now on.

Thanks, Jim!
